VIOLET PROJECT

VIOLET is the name of the European project included in the DAPHNE initiative, which is a community action program with a base in preventive measures to fight violence against children and women.

The main aim of VIOLET is to create a European network, to promote and to co-ordinate actions to defend women victims of family violence.

VIOLET is led by the Federation for the Equality of women in the Baix Llobregat and different transnational, national and local parterns.

The VIOLET program is going to carry out the following actions during 2001:

ACTION I

Creation of a Technical Commission

ACTION II

· The design and the implementation of training programs aimed at social and professional agents.

· To promote the creation of a circuit of support for victims of violence against women.

· To develop integrated programs of action

ACTION III

Working groups at local, national and transnational level

ACTION IV

· The creation of a manual for the training of professionals and social groups.

· The creation of a CD to broadcast and encourage good practice

ACTION V

The dissemination and the promotion of products resulting from the project.
